Fiordland, South Island New Zealand
Fiordland National Park is a vast, remote wilderness on the southwest coast of the South Island of New Zealand and one of the greatest wilderness areas of the Southern Hemisphere.
It is an area where unbroken forests and tussock grasslands, snow-topped mountains, glacier rivers, and deep lakes, make a landscape of unequaled beauty. Most of the region has no road access, and vast areas within the Fiordland National Park have never been seen, except from the air by plane or helicopter.
Te Anau is considered the gateway to the Fiordland National Park. Check out the GOO and RTA accommodation welcoming you to this region.
